IN JUST ONE WEEKEND, THE CELEBRATION OF CHAMPIONS RAISED NEARLY $75,000. The Golf-A-Thon was held at Sugar Ridge Golf Club in Lawrenceburg, Indiana on Friday and the Golf Ball Drop (GBD) took place on Saturday at Miami Lakes Golf & Sports in Miamitown, Ohio. The $5,000 winner from the GBD was Harrison Christian School, the $1,000 winners were St. Peter Claver, Ruth Williams, SmartMoney Community Services, Barry Fulcomer, Jobs Plus and Group10 Financial. Our good friends, and presenting sponsor, Group10 Financial, very generously donated their $1,000 winnings back to The Smith Family Foundation. The farthest from the whole was St. Peter Claver, adding $500 to their weekend winnings for a total of $1,500.

Three golfers participated in the Million Dollar Hole-In-One SHOOT-OUT. Scott Smith, Nick Royer and Todd Smith each received one chance to make a hole in one for a grand prize of $1,000,000. Qualification was achieved by being one of the three closest to the pin in round 2. They may have fallen short, but they had fun competing amongst each other and qualifying as one of the three Million Dollar SHOOT-OUT participants.

We would like to thank all of our family and friends, weekend participants, volunteers, sponsors and benefiting charities for their support at our 1st Inaugural Celebration of Champions event. We look forward to seeing all of you, and many more, next year!
Easier Now Than Ever

Since The Smith Family Foundation values your time, we are making it easier than ever to help area youth.

With the introduction of our new Golf-a-thon interactive application, all areas of participation, from Pledges to Players, can now be performed through the Internet as accessed through our site - except for the golf, of course. That still has to be done the old-fashioned way!
